Bathroom Design
The project involved designing a bathroom for a family including adults and children. For bathroom design inspiration was drawn from nature. Key aspects considered while designing the bathroom were who is going to be using the bathroom (eg: only adults, or kids or a physically challeneged person as well), what activities would it include (eg: just the basic toilet and shower areas or also accommodate laundry and a tub, or make up area for the female as well) and storage considerations ( eg: items to be stored in the bathroom and how they can be easily accessed). Other additional aspects considered while designing were ensuring it meets certain design standards in terms of space planning, functionality, measurements, and materials used.
Mood Board
The theme for bathroom design was inspired from nature. One of the elements used from nature, as a means of design inspiration, was the canyon. This was the focal point to influence the design in terms of space layout, materials and color scheme.

This view shows the entrance area with two separate wash basins, WC and the storage area created along the wall. Materials used here are earth toned, anti-slip, unglazed ceramic tiles for the flooring and red colored glazed ceramic tiles and orange colored paint for the walls to add some contrast. As per the theme, the color scheme chosen here, ranges from the shades of neutral, earthy colors like brown, to slightly brighter shades of orange and red.

This view shows the storage area which further leads inside to the shower area. The shower area has been designed to give a feel, just like the canyons, of being in a secluded, isolated area without much disturbance. Also, the base and the seating within the shower area reflects an uneven rocky kind of shape just like the canyons. The material used for base flooring and seating within the primary shower area is stone, to give it a natural feel. And in the remaining area again unglazed ceramic tiles have been used. And to emphasize upon the transition of the space from the toilet to the shower area, wooden flooring has been added in the storage area. Remaining color scheme is similar throughout the bathroom.
